Our axle counting systems are certified to SIL4 – the highest safety standard – and provide fail-safe clear and occupied signals. Their wheel sensors divide the track into sections and count the wheel impulses as “axles” moving in and out of each section with the help of an evaluation unit. A comparison of the results of the count delivers the clear or occupied status.
Axle counting systems are used as subsystems in interlocking stations, train protection and level crossing systems worldwide. They are also used in the automation of operational processes, such as hot axle box locating systems, track scales or the control of track and hall gates.
