For train formation yards (ZBA) in freight traffic, we offer a special version of our electronic interlocking system, with which the cutting procedure and formation of freight trains is controlled fully automatically with the aid of a shunting hump. The train formation processes, which are particularly complex in the single wagon and wagon group business, are thus rationalised and optimised in terms of time and costs. Our wheel sensors and axle counters are also used here for points and track clearance signalling and are also used for speed measurement and siding capacity monitoring.
Our modern networked computer systems control and monitor the points and have interfaces to the process controls of the retarders, shunting systems and to the remotely controlled hump locomotive as well as to the multi-sensor environment consisting of wheel sensors, light grids, radar equipment and balises.
